The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) announced on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 that it intends to publish a funding initiative for new research programs for the ATN. The announcement included details about the future research focus and structure of the network. In it, the NIH invites researchers to consider projects to submit under the future Funding Opportunity Announcement, slated for Fall 2021.
Through the upcoming funding announcement, NIH will “encourage a more focused, clinical research agenda, with increased emphasis on registrational trials of biomedical interventions” for ATN, the notice said.
Specific deadlines are not yet set. Applications are estimated to be due in Winter 2022.
